NicK Miller, RPF
Nick started his forestry career in 1999 and founded Coastal in 2011. Prior to Coastal, Nick worked for industry and in consulting. Nick has expertise in managing large projects including: stakeholder negotiations, resource development planning, and construction management. Nick has extensive experience working in a leadership role on major natural resource projects throughout British Columbia. He has worked with numerous forestry companies in planning, logging, and road building supervision. Nick's experience also includes construction management for crown corporations and professional assessments for First Nation businesses. Nick's extensive and multi-disciplinary experience has allowed him to become a leader in the natural resource sector.
Outside of work Nick spends his time recreating with his family attempting to spend as much time as possible outside. Nick also has a passion for travel visiting 40 different countries to date.

Chris has been with Coastal since 2018. He currently focuses on silviculture and cruising projects. Chris is an ASA and currently manages large scale survey and planting contracts. Chris is also an experienced timber cruiser.

Zach started with Coastal in 2018. Prior to Coastal Zach gained experience in north east and Kootenay areas of BC. Zach currently manages our Pitt Lake operation where he actively manages all aspects of timber development yearly. Zach has expertise in forest engineering projects and is a great mentor to our field team.

Brody is a senior technician who currently manages silviculture and stand management projects on Haida Gwaii. He is accustomed to supervising teams and has the ability to deliver high quality work in an efficient manner. Brody also takes on the role of Coastal NRM safety manager leading implementing our program

MJ is an experienced Silvicultural Professional who currently manages our Northern Projects. She is experienced in both completing all types of silviculture surveys as well as leading field teams to complete projects. MJ is extremely knowledgeable, a team orientated person and a great mentor to the people she works with.

Ben started with Coastal in 2021 after completing the Forest Technology program in the Kootenays. Ben brings a positive attitude to work and attempts to ensure that everyone is enjoying the projects. Ben is a great team member and is refining his expertise in forestry development and currently leads field crews on development projects.

Mac started with Coastal in 2021 and has continued to expand his forestry expertise. Mac is currently working on forestry development projects in Coastal and Northern BC. Mac is a fast leaner and is always interested in learning new skills. Mac currently leads field crews to complete development projects.
